change up2date profile?

how do i change my preferences? everything i try just launches the 
up2date program, and since i have all the latest updates, i just get a 
message telling me the machine is current.

i tried signing in at the rhn site, but i didn't notice any such options 
 there either. i'm sure i'm missing something obvious.
