The mpatrol_1.4.8.tar.gz includes a file, mpatrol.spec, in the mpatrol/pkg/rpm directory. First, unpack the archive, so that you get a copy of the spec file, then you can put a copy of the mpatrol tar.gz file into /usr/src/SOURCES directory. Then, you should be able run "rpmbuild -bb mpatrol.spec" And create a binary installation for your system. On my system, it did so quite quickly.
