Problem with Old RH6 programs and errno

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I get the following error in stdout when I run an old program on a RH9
installation (old program was RH 6): "Incorrectly built binary which
accesses errno, h_errno or _res directly. Needs to be fixed." How can I get
the system to either not display such messages, or at least display them in
stderr instead of stdout? I cannot recompile because the program in question
uses a library that I have no source to. Though I can recompile the
program, I cannot recompile the library that it uses.

Thank You,
