I have compiled xsky (ftp://arizona.edu/software/unix/xsky/) on shrike, and it crashes at startup saying:
[marco@polaris xsky-3.0.4]$ xsky -a Courier10 -f Courier10 cannot load font Courier10
It's using the old X font mechanism, so you need to give it an old-style X font specification. Use 'xfontsel' to see what old-style fonts are available.
