You can set the date and time with the "date" command; see the man page.


You can set the BIOS clock with the "hwclock" command (means hardware clock); again, see the man page.

You can get the correct time from an NTP time server and immediately set your machine to the right time with the "ntpdate" command, assuming you installed the NTP package.
