Write in Thai

Hi,

I know that this question will not concern many people but we never
know, I could find some help here ;-) .

I am in Thailand, and everybody has a keyboard English + Thai. It is
quite easy with "Windows Thai-English" to switch from one alphabet to
another, I mean writing.

The Thai version Linux TLE can easily do this trick, but all the linux
menus are in Thai, thing that I don't want. Linux TLE has a switch "a la
windows" between US and Thai alphabet. It works in
evolution/openoffice/Xterm, etc... perfectly.

I would like to find a way to do it on a "normal" RH9 version (Linux TLE
in a Redhat base configuration by the way).

The only links I found are quite old, and not so easy to understand.

If anybody in this list has any information of how to do it, he has all
my consideration ;-)

Cheers from Thailand,

Philippe
