unless you are dead set on an rpm package, you can always download 1.1 from www.openoffice.org and install it yourself. i don't install openoffice from the stock rh9 cd, and just download and install the latest version of open office from the website. it works well so far.I'd like to get the 1.1 version of openoffice (included with the fedora distro) but would like to avoid a full changeover to fedora until I can confirm that other thrid party apps will work with it
Is there a way I can get oo.org 1.1 in a RH compatible rpm?
If it requires a number of dependancy upgrades, is there a way to apt-get it?
