As mentioned earlier, you don't need a code to create an account. But you do
need a code to register your copy of RH9 for getting it updated. Else, you
could use APT & Synaptic (GUI) to keep RH9 updated.

I don't see anywhere to put a code in on the "Create Account" page (link
right under the login).  I recently created one (for the beta), but I don't
recall if I used the web or rhn-register.
