RE: Suggestions for a good graphics card for RH9/Fedora?

I've used the NVidia, PNY and IBM (OEM NVidia) cards for twin-head support
on both W2K and Linux without any problems on all the kernels up to
2.4.20-20smp and non-smp. I'm testing 2.6-test8 now with the GeForce2
twin-head and eventually the GeForce4 quad-head (which does not currently
work).

1)	First make sure you have the kernel source for your current kernel
installed on your box, if the kernel is newer than 2.4.20-8.
2)	Download the latest NVidia tarball, tar -xvf [tarball name] and
install the driver.
3)	The NVidia install will prompt you to build the driver on the newer
kernels, so do not panic when it says it can not locate a driver for your
kernel on their site.
4)	OpenGL actually works in the latest driver with twin-heads.

Check your BIOS for the AGP speeds or crack open your box and get the
motherboard model. Check the vendor's web site for the tech specs for your
AGP and PCI slot speeds, which IMHO everyone should know this info before
buying a new box or motherboard.
