Start minicom as root
# minicom serial0
Configure the serial port to the correct speed
^a ^o down down enter
Set the device under option A
Set the flow control off under option F
Set the Speed, parity and stop bits under option E
Escape back up and remove the Modem commands under items
A B C D E F G H and K
Eacape up and save the profile (it will offer to be saved as
'serial0' in this example)
Leave the program - ^a ^x
Restart the program
# minicom serial0
Optionally Duplex Echo may be toggled on and off with
^a ^e
