Solved. The problem was, that the /etc/sysconfig/hwconf file already had the USB mouse listed, so kudzu did not see any need to reconfigure anything. I run mouseconfig by hand and selected an USB mouse and now everything works. This situation probably happened after my experiments with diffeent mice... Regards, David >"Mike A.
