today ,I install the mozilla 1.5b to replace the mozilla1.2.1 which was intalled by RH9....
but when I run the new mozilla . the chinese charater shows so bad.
but when using mozilla1.2.1. it does not work so bad .
That's probably because the build of 1.5b you downloaded was compiled with legacy X font support only. The version you originally had was using fontconfig/Xft2. You should try to find an Xft2 build.
