I have not used mySQL or postgreSQL but I believe they are SQL, not xbase. They may have provisions to create and/or connect to a DBF file (I don't know), but I am sure they are not programmed in xBase, the dbase and clone language. I have looked for something similar but failed to find it myself. Later versions of dBase, xBase, FoxBase, FoxPro and others included SQL but it was in addition to the older xBase language. BobG will have to clarify if he needs a program to access DBF files or if he wants to program in xBase code. Personally, I would like to find an xBase program for Linux provided the price is right.
