AFAIK, you're stuck with a fixed size. Add "ramdisk_size=32768" to your kernel line in grub.conf and reboot. If there is any other way, I'd be interested in knowing! At least, like with shm, you don't have to recompile the kernel to change the values, unlike 2.2 kernels ;-)
