Hi:I always get that message whenever the NFS server isn't running on the server machine. Are you sure its been started on the AIX machine? I think you should be able to telnet to port 2049 if its running.
I'm working in make communication via NFS between AIX 5.2 and RedHat
8. Using RH8 as NFS server and AIX 5.2 as client goes very well, but I need
to do the same but making the AIX 5.2 to be a NFS server for an RH8 client.
When I try to mount from RH8 'mount -t nfs
kphnotes:/notes/notesr5/crm/sfadata/hacia/comercial /mnt/FFLUX/desde/notes'
I get this message 'mount: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to
receive'
