Not to belittle the rest of your post by ignoring it, but overall I think we agree on the concepts; I merely considered another market segment than you did in your original note recommending SCSI. Besides, I'm sure we also agree specifically on the reason behind this debate: that the cost of downtime is usually (almost always) significantly more important than the cost of purchase.
