When I attempt to install RHL v9 on a Compaq Presario 2570us notebook, the installation hangs on loading the ohci1392 device driver. I mean really hung. The machine won't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Del. If the fan is any indication, the CPU is pegged at full utilization. As this is a crummy consumer machine, I don't have the option of disabling specfic devices in the BIOS.
