I just read an interesting article:

Fine-Tuning Linux Administration with ACLs

http://networking.earthweb.com/netsysm/article.php/10954_3077971_1

A look at the software included with RH9 was promising. The basic tools seem to be there.

But, the release-notes say:

"... Red Hat has therefore removed that ACL support from the kernel for Red Hat Linux 9. Kernel engineers will continue work on improving the ACL support, which will be available in a future release. ..."

Does anybody know about the prospects for ACL support in RH9 or future versions?

No big deal. Just wondering,

Cliff Kent
