No. Actually it's the boot block which prints "GRUB". It's GRUB stage 1. > Since you can boot from a > floppy. Boot first CD in rescue mode and enter your Red Hat Linux system via chroot (i.e. follow the instructions). Then re-install GRUB. If your description is accurate, run "grub-install /dev/hdaX" (substite the X appropriately!). Then redo the steps to read the boot block and copy it to C:\ where your XP boot loader expects it. > Frustrated and ready to dump Linux, More interesting would have been to learn what you had changed to cause this boot failure. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/XeQj0iMVcrivHFQRAt7wAJ9Rz2RfX6qskNB1QI4A4QtzLmRPCACdECcj M+3Bu6RZz+GkoG9gu1PKgtc= =mb4w -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
