Some questions after RH 9 upgrade

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I successfuly upgraded one host from RH7.2 to RH9. This host
runs solely httpd calling one perl script.
It's a DELL6450 (4xCPU,4gig RAM).

Load average _before_ upgrade was _maximum_ around 10.
After upgrade in rush hours it easily hits 80 and tend to stay
around 40 !?!

Perl script is the same, number of hits per minute is also the same
as before, only OS parts changed (7.2->9).

What could be wrong ?
What can be done to tune that thing better ?

(mdah, why can't I setup another e-mail alias for using this mailinglist !?)
