Bug in Bash? Login as a root from a console.

Hi All,
When root logins I am receiving following messeges.

-bash: [: too many arguments
-bash: /usr/bin/dircolors: Argument list too long
-bash: /usr/bin/cut : Argument list too long

and then I can not execute any command. Only ctrl-D
Standard check for this problem is /root/.bashrc and
/root/.bash_profile which I didn't touch them.

But these messeges do not appear for other user logins
and /bin/su - to root.

Is it a bash bug? Do I have a problem with my terminals,
somehow?

Many thanks for the comments in advance.
Mehmet
