Try one of the mirror sites for Linux SxS, and do a search on "GRUB." The best troubleshooting article looks like (IMHO) the one titled " GRUB - GRand Unified Boot Loader." It's a keeper, so download it and print it out for a reference. There's also a GRUB boot disk recipe - look in the list of hits when you search on GRUB. HTH 73/Regards, Glenn (a.r.s.
