Did you inspect redhat-config-network and redhat-control-network? You
can configure different network conections and switch between them very
easily. I use it with my laytop.

Depends on your mail software, I guess. Or you add a "virtual" SMP
server to your /etc/host (e.g. "myserver"), which is used by the mail
prog and you have to adjust the IP address manually - not an elegant
solution. IF you have DHCP, you may add it to the options set.
