I was trying to compile kernel source and got as far as "make bz image,or bzimage, or zimage when I got- "No rule to make target". I've run into this before; Is there a remedy?

In the readme file accompanying the kernel source it clearly states: - Do a "make bzImage" to create a compressed kernel image.
Capitalization does matter :)
