Yes - I'm doing so ATM. When I've got it completely working, I'll try to rememeber to report back.


Basically, though, get the tarballs from the bootsplash site, the latest RH kernel SRC.RPM, and the bootsplash patch.

Add the patch to the .spec file (I chose patch 4999), and rpmbuild - I found the patch applied to the RH kernelk almost completely cleanly; it certainly worked.

Install your new kernel RPM (leave old one just in case), install a theme into it's initrd & reboot ...
