Piece of cake with ssh. If you have an X server running on both ends, just forward it through ssh and you can run any X GUI stuff you want. If text mode is all you want, then that is even easier. If you are running a non-X OS, there are ssh-enabled clients available for other platforms out there. Lots of help available via Google.
