Well, I hate AutoCad (MicroStation being a bit more intuitive, if that word has any meaning), but you are correct about QCad being a bit clunky in this regard. Nevertheless, given the limited scope of things you should be using QCad to do, it's tolerable. And free ;) It's sort of the Notepad.exe of the CAD world (no offense to the developers). BTW, I recall many years ago that Bentley had a version of MicroStation that ran natively on Linux (albeit educational version only). Does anyone know what became of that?
