Hostname setup

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just got my new wireless nic working in a brand new 9.0 install. But it sets
the hostname automagically as dhcppc2. When I log in to Gnome it tells me that
it can't lookup the hostname and to put in an entry in /etc/host. So with using
the wlan-ng packages, where do I need to put hostname entries to 1) Get rid of
the warning by Gnome and 2) so that the startup line that says "setting
hostname localhost.localdomain" says myhost.somedomain.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,
Ryan
