A new (unreadable) directory has just appeared in the beta section of my local mirror of redhat's ftp server.

They just halted the Phoebe list. I assume that the directory creation and the stoppage of the very quiet phoebe list means "It's here!!! - (within a short time)
I hope that the programs start to be compiled for at least 586 and higher applications. (maybe more efficient programs) Also that there are a lot of improved utilities for using the capabilities ofr the 2.6 kernel.
A super efficient and capable GUI would great also. Maybe using features of the 2.6 kernel as well.
Hopefully, CDR and DVD burning will be a lot more reliable and will use direct access to the devices, instead of emulation device drivers.
