kernel 2.6 breaks Xscreensaver screen lock

Is it just me? If I run the 2.6 kernel from Arjan's directory and lock
my screen, then try to type my password to unlock it, it rejects my
password. If I reboot into 2.4.20-18.9, this works fine.

I'm running more or less a full rawhide system.

Ideas?
