It's possible that XFree is getting confused probing for AGP and not falling back. You can explicitly set the card's bus location with a line in XF86Config like: BusID "PCI:1:0:0" (the numbers in the example line above probably won't be the same for your setup -- see "man XF86Config" for more info about what the numbers mean) Tomorrow I plan to bring up 2.6.0-test on a machine with a PCI video card as the AGP slot is broken, as in literally busted plastic broken :-) -- perhaps I'll see the same issue.
