When I try to rip a track from an audio CD using cdparanoia the kernel crashes with the caps lock and scroll lock led blinking.
Been there. Samer kernel version. My motherboard is 815 chipset base. I switched to the developmental version in Arjan's directory (version 2.4.20-13.9.1 - The problem went away.

If I use the standard CD the kernel does not miss the interrupt. CD-ROM 48X/AKU
Both CD's are ide-scsi.
The problem happened, for me. Both with and without the hdx=ide-scsi call to the kernel.
What kernel version works with my configuration? Should I go back in kernel versions?
I'd keep going forward with the kernel versions. With two people siting a similar problem. There must be some need to clean up the kernel. If it wasn't fixed with the test kernel.

I'd flash the cap locks and scroll lock LED's also. I can't decypher the data though. Except that hdc and ide-scsi are not agreeing with each other.
