Sendmail woes

Hello all,

I get returned mails from the mailer-daemon. It says could not send 
mail because

 ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<Cedric.Chausson@xxxxxxx>
    (reason: 553 5.1.8 <root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... Domain of 
sender address root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx does not exist)

Any ideas ?
