Re: IRQ load balancing

Sorry for posting this in the Shrike list, but on my Dual PIII RedHat
7.2 system (kernel 2.4.20-13.7smp) all IRQs are handled by CPU0 and none
by CPU1. Yet the kernel-utils package is installed. Do I need to do
something else, and does APIC have to be enabled? (It's disabled because
of hardware issues)
Eric.

Any idea why IRQ load balancing across CPUs would not be happening on a
Dual Proc Xeon with Hyperthreading enabled
apparantly you didn't install the kernel-utils package. Do so and this
will be fixed.
