You can limit the sources. The default listing for source is (in
/etc/apt/sources.list)

rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates freshrpms

You could just change it to use just the redhat provided rpms and
updates as: (assuming some check can be done wrt to checksum &
redhat-signatures)

rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates
