Either the downloaded ISO file was corrupted during the download, or the burner didn't burn it correctly. You should always check the downloaded CD image's MD5 sum. There's a Windows md5sum.exe file here: http://downloads.activestate.com/contrib/md5sum/Windows/ Then, look in the directory where you got the ISO images for a file called MD5SUMS. Compare the output of md5sum.exe with the values listed in that file to be sure your downloads are correct. If the downloaded files are correct, but you're still having trouble passing the media check, try a different brand media or slower burn speed, although 8x is fairly slow so that really should be fine.
