I posted this once before and no one was able to help, I'm hoping the
list membership has grown enough that someone will know how to help.
I have an old HP vectra (dual P133) machine and was running the SMP
kernel fine under 7.2, but since upgrading to 9, I get "hda: lost
interrupt" messages during the boot process. It gets about as far as
mounting / and then the error just repeats and repeats. I believe it is
still trying to work around the error, but it's unable to make any progress.
At any rate, I'm reduced to running with only one CPU right now and
REALLY need the second one to make this box usable. Any ideas?
