Yet, [listening only on localhost] seems to be a change from RH8. I don't recall setting the sendmail DAEMON_OPTIONS this way. Any insights?No, it's been this way for quite a while. It may even have been like this before 8.0. Basically setting a system up with an SMTP listener only on localhost is less prone to security problems -- for those that don't need inter-machine mail (and a lot don't) this is a good thing.
