Just to be sure, I completely rebuilt my system from scratch. When first installed, sound on my system works just fine. However, after upgrading to kernel 2.4.20-18.9, sound no longer works. My system sound is built into my Asus P4S8X motherboard and is supposed to use the Intel i810 driver. I kept the original kernel (kernel 2.4.20-8) around and sound still does work with that kernel. Anyone have an answer to this? I admit I have been off-line for a few days and a quick search of the archives has not turned up an answer.
