Hi,
After installing mplayer, my system takes two minutes for me to log out. When I try to log back in, selecting either root or my account, the system just hangs at the X log in. Sometimes I just get the RH logo, other times it's just a blue blank screen. I have left it for over 30 minutes, but nothing happens. Only way to correct is to reboot manually with the CPU reset switch.
hmm I'm using mplayer (and xine) on 5 different RH9 boxes with great results -
Where did you get the mplayer packages you installed?
