Hello,

Exactly what is the sound problem??  Are you finding that you put in an audio cd and no sound comes out your speakers??  If that is the case, there are a few reasons for that not to happen. 

1) No audio cabe going from the cdrom to your soundcard (or motherboard if it onboard sound)

2) In your Volume Control setting, the sound level for CD is set to mute or turned right down.

You could plug in a set of head phones into the front of your cdrom to make sure that it is playing audio cds before persuing those options.
