remote printing using LPRng vs cups

With LPRng, I can use the following way to print to a remote LPR print
server..

lpr -Pprinter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx%portnumber
lpq -Pprinter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx%portnumber

Is there any equivalent stuff in the 'lpr/lpq' tools from cups?
