I don't understand what's your point here ?

do you unterstand me now?

i don´t believe

I do but that is IMHO.

i know that i was waiting a very-very-very-very-very long time for mysql 3.23.56 rpm from redhat
i believe that i have a long time to wait for mysql 4.0.13 rpm from redhat

$ mysql --version
mysql  Ver 12.20 Distrib 4.0.13, for pc-linux (i686)

perhaps has apache a greater priority than mysql ;-)

but its your choice with apache: $ configure --help $ configure --prefix=/... --with-xxx ... $ make # make install

-- shrek-m
