ide missing interrupts

The previous subject was ide-scsi.

I removed the ide-scsi from the grub.conf file. I still miss interrupts from the ide cdrom when using cdparanoia. Eventually the missing interrupts crash the kernel. This also prevents importing a session in gnome toaster.

[final thought]
It appears that RH9 will not run on my hardware. I assume that all of us running RH9 (for free) are really just beta testers.
I am hoping that someone at RH reads this and figures out why the kernel will not work with my hardware. Other OS (win2K) run without
problems with the same hardware. Is there some other debug software I should run to report the errors?

Regards
Steve
