well, I tried to install and configure my 'internal "Generic Voice 56K"' modem...... First, the internet wizard do not recognize the modem, so I defined it as /dev/modem (and later /dev/ttys0), the procedure ended properly, but when I run kppp the status says something like 'Initializing modem' and the log window is empty and 'Expect:Ok.' appears at bottom..... before that nothing happens... What canI do now?! :( -----Original Message----- From: Aaron Konstam [mailto:akonstam@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Jueves, 10 de Julio de 2003 01:21 p.m. To: shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Newbi's question On Thu, Jul 10, 2003 at 10:18:14AM -0500, RICOTTA, FEDERICO [AG-Contractor/5000] wrote: > Hi, > > Sorry for this stupid for someones question: > > Hown can I do to Install and cofigure properly my dial-up modem under RHL9-KDE ??????? > > Federico Ricotta You can do this with kppp or more directly with redhat-config-network and activate it with he modem lights applet. Try it.
