edit your /etc/inittab file and change

this line:
id:3:initdefault:

to this:
id:5:initdefault:

and save it.  Then run 'init q' to get 'init' to wake up and
re-examine the new /etc/inittab file.

Then next time you boot it should go into X automatically.
