(please > not the BIND manuals, been over those three times) You will have to use a combination of dhcpd and bind/dns (dynamic DNS) to acheive your goal. i.e. nsupdate. This is how I got DDNS working on my local LAN... 1) Install/configure bind/dns for my local domain. If you have specific questions regarding bind/dns; please post them. 2) Install/configure dhcpd on your local LAN. If you have specific questions regarding dhcpd; please post them. 3) Now read the instructions on implementing DDNS in: man dhcpd.conf search for chapter DYNAMIC DNS UPDATES. I found the DDNS examples in the dhcpd.conf man pages quite usefull. Steve Cowles
