Compaq Fibre Channel Controller

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have installed RedHat 9 on a Proliant 8500 which has an Integrated Smart
Array as well as a Compaq Fibre Channel controller attached to an RA4100
external cage.

If I try to modprobe cpqfc I get the error message:

/lib/modules/2.4.20-9bigmem/kernel/drivers/scsi/cpqfc.o: init module: no
such device

I have added

alias scsi_hostadapter cpqfc

to my modules.conf

lsmod does not list the module as already running.

I have not tried to load RedHat on a machine with this type of array before,
so if I'm missing something dumb I apologize in advance.

Thanks for the help.
