I've a more common Samtron 70E. RedHat 9 has detected both the ATI
Radeon 7500 card with 64MB and the monitor. I'm using a normal CRT
connection cable.

Refresh rates are of 87Hz, however I'm experiencing exactly the same
symptoms you describe:
  flashes sometimes, grainy screen, etc.

3D seems to be working so far, but I haven't yet re-installed any of the
more complex 3D apps I play with (like Celestia).
