CD burning reliability is *very* high for me under shrike, of course it
also works quite well under RedHat 7.3, and 8.0...

Personally, I think you're going to find things *less* reliable under
2.5.68 as far as burning goes, but YMMV. My personal experience with
2.5.x left a nasty aftertaste :p


I had good CD burning with RHL 7.3. In 8.0, it was as corrupted as some of the recent posts to the list.


The CD burning in phoebe was also bad. It seems to be pretty good for Shrike though.

For experimentation, I figured that I'd see how it works. Rendering and speed is what some during the beta talked about. Also, cdrecording as mentioned.

Thanks for passing on your experience with the kernel. I'm just excited that it works. The other previous versions seemed to fail on the modules portion. This one compiled flawlessly.
